INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE MALAKOFF HALF CENTURY RIDE 80KM on 18th November 2012

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the Malakoff Half Century Ride 80km (MHCR) which is the first half century ride in Malaysia for road bicycles which will be held in Lumut Manjung, Perak on Sunday 18th November 2012.

A great opportunity to experience this spectacular ride, with riders enjoying fantastic scenic views of the Manjung district, on an uncrowded course through the breathtaking sights of the coast line, finishing at the beautiful Marina Island Pangkor at Lumut.

The Malakoff Half Century Ride 80km (MHCR) is a one day cycling event for road bikes. It presents a unique opportunity to road cyclist from around the region to participate in the non-competitive event caters to cyclist of all levels of aptitude from the beginner who is out for the challenge of completing their 50 miles (80km) in the company of friends and strangers, united by the joy of cycling. This new 50 miles (80km) ride is a great introduction to encourage families to participate this healthy activity.

All Participants will receive a well organised event including medical support, mechanical support, refreshments stops, and traffic management, not to mention the entertainment and sponsors giveaways.

Entry Fees

• EARLY REGISTRATION - RM90 + RM10* (deposit for timing chip) = RM100
• LATE REGISTRATION  - RM120 + RM10* (deposit for timing chip) = RM130

         EARLY - payment received on or before 4th Nov 2012

           LATE - payment received on or after 5th Nov 2012

*deposit will be refunded after timing chip handed over to the organizer.

Event Features

• There are over 50 police out-riders and personnel marshaling the course, a minimum of 3 Emergency Medical Response Units on the course to ensure participants receive the fastest possible medical care in the event of an accident. 
• Vehicle support and minor repairs to bicycles along the course.
• Adequate feeding & water stations at 30km apart along the course and post-event lunch.
• Trophies for the top participants in each category.
• Finishing medals to all participants. 
• 150 volunteers managing the water stations, registration day counters, goodies bag distribution, course Marshall's and vehicle support and sweeper vehicles.
• Quality event t-shirt and goodies bag.
• Professional camera and video recording for the event.
